Of course Kevin and I had to watch ISU in the bowl game!!! Since we do not have cable we went down to dad's and Melissa's home and watched it with them.  Even though they lost we still had a great time together!

Christmas Gifts!

It never fails that everyone asks, "What did you get for the holidays?" So I thought that I would share some of the things that we got!

Christmas Number Five!

I know how many Christmas's can two people go to! Well this past weekend Kevin and I had Christmas with Dad and Melissa to make the number 5.  We had a wonderful time all of us together, we were able to play games, watch movies, open gifts and of course enjoy each others company and Melissa's baking! She even made me Peanut Butter Balls, MY ABSOLUTE MOST FAVORITE THING around Christmas!

Christmas Number Four!

Christmas Number four was celebrated on Christmas day!! We celebrated it with my mom and sister! They came up to my home and I made lots of food!!! We played games and were able to spend some great time together!

Christmas Eve!

On Christmas Eve we were driving back from Waterloo and getting ready to have Christmas at our home with my mom! However on Christmas Eve we went to my mom's house and played games and had soup! We also went to church for the midnight service and lit the advent candle.

Status from this Weekend driving….

Status from this Weekend driving….

-       - We went over 600 Miles on Iowa Road Ways

-       - We saw 120 cars in the ditch from Ankeny to Davenport and then 20 from Davenport to Waterloo

-       - We stayed in two hotels

-       - We have been to One McDonalds and Two Arbys

-       - We have been in the car for a total of 9 hours

-       - We have listened to ALOT of Christmas Songs!

-       - We have about 40lbs. of ham on all the dinner tables combined

-       - Emily has sleep 5 hours in the car…. Oops!

-       - We have been through roughly 15 Iowa counties and 2 states

-       - We have been I-80, 5, I-380, and I-280

Overall we had a very busy weekend with family but we feel very blessed to be able to spend time with each and every one of them.  We are safely back home now and preparing for Christmas Number 4 on Christmas day at home with Emily’s Mom and Sister. May all your travels be safe and that you all enjoy your Christmas Day with all your loved ones!
