Christmas Number Three!

On to the third Christmas in three days! We had Christmas with Kevin’s mom! Again all of the siblings were together. We played games had some great food and were just able to enjoy each other’s great company. I was even able to snap a photo of all four of them together it took a couple of photos but we (Emily and I) finally got them all to look and smile at the same time!

Christmas Number Two!

For the second Christmas it was with Kevin’s Dad! It was nice because all of Kevin brothers and sisters were in town for the event! We went over to his place and he opened all of his gifts and then we all went out to lunch at Texas Road House in Cedar Falls. That for me brought back so many memories from when Chels and I were roomies up at UNI. It was great being able to spend time with him!

Christmas Number 1 - Funk Family Christmas

Today we had Christmas with my Dad's sisters and brother that live over in eastern
Iowa. It was also the first time for Kevin to meet some of my family on my Dad's side. We had a great time seeing my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. I miss them all so much and love them even more!

Fun day with Grandma!

Today we were in Davenport! Dad and Grandpa had to run to the store and get things for Christmas this afternoon so Kevin, Erin, Grandma and I started to play games together! It was a lot of fun, however we found out that Kevin doesn't read all the rules and at the very end when you think you are about to win oh wait he throws in a twist and you LOSE (ask Erin about this) so Kevin will not be reading them again! Over all we had a great day together will grandma! After playing games with each other, off to Aunt Christine's home to have Christmas number One!

Erin and Grandma playing a new version of Scrabble!

Then he busted out the Monopoly game!

It was the battle of the Dog, Car, Cannon, and Money Bag. Wonder if you can guess who was what game player!

THEN when Dad and Grandpa got back over their they have this Ice Cream made by Whitey's and everyone talks about how good it is...well I have never had it and they said next time I was over I could get some.... SO they brought some home to me! It was delicious!

This year Kevin and I did a Christmas card, I thought it would be fun to but it on the blog for all to see! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and if you are traveling we hope that you arrive at your destination safe and sound and that you have a wonderful time with family. We know that we are both very excited about all the family time we will get to spend with both of ours coming up! Bring on 2013!

First Snow!!!

So last night and early this morning we got our first real snow of the year! This is big! I mean big! This is because last yea we did not get hardly any snow zero, zip none! Well we got some this year! 13 inches came to Des Moines and the best part we will have a white Christmas! Also, Kevin and I got snow days! Nothing like being grown adults and getting that call in the morning and saying you don't have to work today!!!! I have some photos to share with all of you from our first snow of the season! Kevin is so wonderful he is outside shoveling because my not so wonderful homeowners association can't seem to find the company that is to do it, but that is another blog! *let it snow, let it snow, let it snow*

This is at the end of our street with all the snow!

Before Kevin went out to play!

Craft project!

Kevin and I have been working on this craft project for the last few days and I love the way it came out! With a little help from dad with cutting the wood everything turned out perfect and just in time for Christmas and for everyone to see!!
