Family Photos!

We (Kevin and I) spent last weekend in Pella with my Mom's side of the family. It has been forever since we were all together and had family photos taken.  Being that it was grandma's birthday and also close to Mother's day I had Jenna with Shutter Iowa Photography come on down and take our photos.  They turned out great, could not have asked for better! It was great with the colors, being outside, and having all of us there. It was perfect, something we will keep for a lifetime! I would like to say thank you so much to Jenna for making the special trip down for us, we could have not done it without you!!!!

This past week due to it being Addi's Birthday last week Kevin and I took her and Canon to an Iowa Cubs game and out to dinner to Pizza Ranch. They had a blast. It was their first ever game so they were all about asking questions about what was going on and seeing Cubbie Bear.  They also thought it was pretty awesome that the players didn't have to use a tee to hit the ball. Due to the weather not being the best we had the park pretty much to our self. We were also able to get a free t-shirt they were throwing out for them to share as a new bed time shirt. It was also so nice of the Iowa Cubs as they put her on the jumbo TV - again they thought it was the coolest thing ever! It also was the 100 year anniversary of "Chicken of the Sea" so they had a mermaid and they were also very excited to get a photo taken with her - Kevin and I felt very sorry for her as she looked so cold!!!! Over all it was a blast, Addi and Canon had so much fun and we can not wait to go on a warmer Friday night to see some fireworks and enjoy some more ball games!!!!

Family Weekend

Pella Windmills

This past weekend we headed down to Pella, Iowa with my mom's side of the family. It was so nice because we were all there!!!! We were spending time together for my grandmothers 80th birthday and for Mother's Day. We just kind of hung out and enjoyed each others company making memories. We also were able to have Jenna come on down and see us so we got big group family photo's taken. Can't wait to see them, I know they will turn out great!!!

Craft Time

When we got home we had craft time with Addi and Canon. It was a nice enough day out so we were able to do them outside. We had gotten kits so they could make concrete stones for Kelly on Mother's Day. It was great to see their creative minds go to work and see what they would come up with for her.

Kelly was also loving them when they gave them to her for Mother's Day!

Monkey Joe's!

The other day we had Addi and Canon and we were going to head to the park and play games however it started to rain. Kind of spoiled that plan.

We then headed on over to Monkey Joe's. It's a play place for children with lots of inflatables.  They loved it. They were running all over the place and having a blast! Great second pick. We will be going back with them for sure!

 

Folkerts / Scalf Wedding

A few weekends ago we headed north to see one of my very good friends get married. It is so wonderful to see her so happy with her new husband. It is also great to be part of her special day and have that great memory. After the I Do's everyone got to have their photo taken in a photo booth and we have some great photos to share with you. Over all great day and we can't wait to spend time with the happy couple.

Kevin and I love having Addi and Canon back in Iowa, we missed them so much! It just so happens that they are both doing some t-ball! It is great being able to watch them hit and run the bases. Kelly and Zach are also Addi's coach so it is fun to see them coach the little ones. Kevin has also been helping out coaching out Addi's team. They don't keep score at this age so as we tell Addi, they all won!!
