ISU.

Last weekend Kevin and I headed north, and by north I mean Ames. We watched the men's basketball team in hopes to break their loosing streak they had. We were able to get some good seats off craigslist at a good price.

We enjoyed some walking tacos and my tweet thrown up on the jumbo TV in Hilton.

After all the fouls, technicals, and trash talking Iowa State came out on top with the win!!!! Couldn't have asked for a better game to go to!

New Journey.

Kevin and I decided that together we were going to take a weight loss journey. We have decided that we wanted to live healthier.  What we have done is we have both downloaded the FREE MyFitnessPal Application (they have it both for iPhone and Android.) We chose this application for the main reason because it was easy to use and it was also free. It is already hard enough to try and keep track of everything you eat in a day and if you have to enter it in your phone by hand with everything I have going on I know that would take way too long. No thank you. This is the perfect application due to the fact it gives you the option of just scanning the bar code if it has one and pulls up everything for you! Easy as pie!!!! Also when you go out to eat it has most restaurants all ready in the application so you can then select what you are eating! The following photos are our before photos and as hard as they are to post I cannot wait to keep you updated and let you know other ways we are burning calories. Moving Day.

On Thursday at work it was moving day. For the first time in my life I had to move where I had been sitting for over a year. I had to pack everything up in a blue box, wait for the movers to come and then unpack everything. I now sit right next to the window at Nationwide and have a great view of the park. That means if you are out and about on a warm summer day I might see you, however I don't really have the time to be looking out side as I am working. I took some photos of how I have my new desk set up. I also asked them to remove my shelf above my desk because I am not using it and it really opens up the area.

Christmas.

We traveled north this weekend for our fifth and final christmas of the year with Kevin's Mom. I have been feeling very under the weather since christmas day so this was going to be a large test for me. Friday we loaded up the car and Kevin drove north. We had good weather so that was nice and we got lucky.  We spent saturday enjoying time with all of his siblings and their other halfs as well as his mom. We also enjoyed playing games. We ducked out kind on early so I could get some rest. Overall it was a great day and fun spending time with family.

Woodpecker!

Kevin and I have gotten into giving back to the animals that live around us. Starting in December we put out our winter bird feeder. We had not seen much activity but with me being home sick I have been kind of keeping my eye on it.  Today I had a little friend show up who had not come before; a little woodpecker! I sat and just watched him for about an hour it was kind of neat. I was also able to grab some photos before he went on his way!
