Doggie Treats!

While I was working today I was able to find an at home recipe to make puppie treats! Since I am going down to see the puppies this weekend I can't show up empty handed that is so unlike me! Tonight I was salving away in the kitchen making homemade puppie teates!!! I made SO many!!! Let's hope they like them! So many different shapes they can snack on. It's got pumpkin, cinnamon and some flour - well lots of flour! I can't wait to take them so they can enjoy!!!

Kenzi's 1st Birthday!

Today Kevin and I traveled over to the Davenport area and spend so time with my family and also had my cousins daughters first birthday. It was so much fun hangout with family and getting to see all of them. As always I wish we lived closer to them. I love them all so much and it was great to celebrate Kenzi's birthday and how much she has grown.

2 Years....

On Sunday while we were with family it was also the day 2 years ago Kevin and I went on our very first date. That would be 730 days ago. We would have loved to go to El Bait Shop on Sunday but with other things going on we couldn't make it till tonight! It's still our special place and we really only go once a year. We both only drink one beer like all the days ago. We the. headed home and had to watch bones - love that show! Love him and I can't image my life without him! I can't wait for our anniversary in a few weeks!!!

Holidays!

This past weekend we went up yo West Union and celebrated the holidays with Kevin's mom extend side of the family. All seven of us were able to make it so it was great also to see all of Kevin's brother and sister's. We had great good and had a great time spending time with family. Kebin's aunt from Vargina was also able to make the trip and she makes homemade salsa that Kevin LOVES so he was able to get a special treat from him aunt (he might have gotten more than one jar.)

Date Day Out!

On Sunday I was able to have the day off so Kevin and I went on a date! We went to glazed expressions in West Des Moines to creat some "art." We both ended up painting coffee mugs. We had a great time together and we can't wait to go back to pick up the finished product after they fire them!!!

Strut Your Mutt!

As most of you know my sister LOVES animals and would do anything for them. For the past few years she has done Strut your Mutt, a charity walk that focuses on helping dogs. This year her and her dog Lilly are going to be walking for the first time for the organization to honor Rascal, the puppy she recently lost.  Her goal is to raise $500 to help animals in the St.Louis area, where she is living now. Please go to the below link and really think about giving.  Any amount is great and it goes to a great cause and even if your puppy is perfect, there are a lot that aren't and they need your help.

Everett's 1st Birthday

Today we were able to hang out with great friends and celebrate the first birthday of their son. It was a great day to spend time outside and to see how Everett has grown over the past year. We were also able to then spend time with them and watch the Iowa vs. Iowa State game. Overall we had a great day and enjoyed spending time with our friends!

Phone Case

If anyone knows me they know I like to have options and I like to change things up when it comes to accessories. This past week I got a new phone case this one was extra special because I got to design it. I will continue to use all the others I have bit this one is just a little bit special to me. 

Garage

With Kevin moving in we had many multiples of things. A couple weekends ago we had a large garage sale and moved a lot of thing (both his and mine) out of the house. What didn't sell this week we packed up and took to goodwill. We now were left will still things we wanted to keep and not much storage area with living in a town home due to not having a basement. Today we made our garage storage central. We put up shelving cleaned out tubs moved things around and we have way more space! Something we should have done long long ago! 

Water Cooler

Kevin and I drink a lot of water at our home. I also only drink bottled water thus we are going through a lot of bottled water. My mother had my grandfathers old water cooler she was not using. We asked her if we could have it so we could not have to buy as much. She said yea! I was not loving the color so we sprayed painted it and I love the way it came out. I forgot to take a before photos sorry, but Check out the after one! We are now heading out to get us a bottle of water to put on it.
