Gas Game!

So today Kevin thought it would be a good idea to play the gas game. For any one that doesn't know what the gas game is I will inform you. It is when your gas light comes on and then you see how far you can get till you either 1. win the gas game and make it the gas station or 2. lose and you end up on the side of the road and you have to call some one to come and get you. I play the gas game ALL THE TIME, I HAVE NEVER LOST! Today KEVIN LOST! I was night and went and got him so he did not have to walk!

Desert Pizza.

The other night Kevin and I made homemade desert pizza (oh course I found it on Pinterest.) We took it over over to some of Kevin's friends house - good thing we did because it was HUGE! We only had a little mishap but other than that it turned out great! I might just have to make it again some time! If you're lucky we might just make it for you!

Sculpture Park - Downtown Des Moines!

Last night, after we had dinner at Americana to celebrate my new job, Kevin, Dad, Melissa and I all walked around the Sculpture Park. I had never been, I loved it. I can't wait to go back. Here are some photos from the night!

A Window.

When one door is closed they always say a window gets opened. This is such a true statement. I wanted the job of Assistant Front office Supervisor at the Hilton when my good friend left to go down to the Embassy. Well they turned me down. I was heartbroken.  I really wanted that position. I kind of let it get the best of me for a while. Well last week I had an interview at a different company and they offered me the job!! I am SO excited to announce that starting in October I will be working at Nationwide! I will get off work every day buy 5pm and NEVER have to work Saturdays! I will be an awesome fit for Kevin and I I think. I also will no longer need to work TWO jobs! I am very sad to leave Hilton, I have work there for almost SIX years that is a long time, so many bonds with people, and they are all wonderful people that I miss so much! Wish me the best of luck!! :)

Fan.

I am one VERY blessed and lucky girl. Last night my Dad and Kevin spent some very long hours trying to get my new fan up in my Master Bedroom. At first they didn’t think it would work because of the remote and the receiver box and the angle of my ceiling but after they had taken everything back apart and boxed everything back up and we had returned it. We had walked over to the fans in Home Depot and saw this magical part that made the fan I want work. So we re-bought the fan, they unpacked it all put it back together and I now have a wonderful fan in my bed room! LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much! Love you both!

Just Another Day at Work.

Oh yesterday was like any other day at Hilton till this bus pulled in. You would never guess who came walking out of it, someone famous. BRET MICHAELS, yes the former lead singer from Poison. He was down at Wells Fargo last night and they need a room! So they stayed with us! They also gave us some AWESOME tickets! I however didn’t go so I gave them to some people I know that are in love with him! I hope they enjoyed the show, I’m sure they did! You just never know when an A-Lister will show up here at the HGI in Des Moines, Iowa! Just all in a days work!

Iowa State Fair - Day Two.

Kevin and I went back to the fair today.  It was the last day of the fair for 2012. We HAD to ride the Skyglider and eat some for fair food. So until next year, good bye Iowa State Fair!
