Birthday.

A few weeks ago I had my 27th Birthday. It was more a birthday week. I got to have dinner with some of the most important people to me. It was the best. Kevin and I love having so many special people in our lives to share such special events with. I am also thankful for the people I work with they made my desk at work look amazing.

Addi Date.

For Addi's Birthday we told her we would take her to Glazed Expression to paint some pottery since she loves art! It was a great hit. She had so much fun and can't wait to take her back.

We then let her pick where she wanted to go to dinner and her pick was Jimmy Johns - she was so excited - however not in this photo.

Bacon and Chicken Dog Birthday Cake

It was Lilly's birthday this past week and I was so excited because she came home and I got to see her! I wanted to make her a special cake! Now she loves bacon so I thought this would be the perfect cake for her! We have in the past gotten them from places like Three Dogs Bakery however she was not a fan of them so I gave it a try and let me tell you it was a huge it!
Ingredients:
- 3 Cups Flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 stick of butter(softened)
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 cup of oil(corn or vegetable)
- 2 jars of Chicken Baby Food Sticks
- Non Fat Plain Yogurt- amount varies, used as icing
- Crispy Bacon Bits- 1 cup for cake, and extra for topping

How To:
- Mix the flour with the baking powder.
- Add butter, oil, eggs and mix well.
-Cut chicken sticks into tiny pieces, then add to mix.
-Add in bacon pieces, and finish mixing.
Getting ready to put it in the oven!
- Place in oven at 350'F for 20 minutes
- Let cool and then "frost" with yogurt. Then add Bacon pieces on top if you would like.
All done getting ready to give it to the Birthday Girl!

As you can see it was gone rather fast and she loved it!!!

Birthday.

This past Thursday was Kevin's 28th birthday! We of course had bad weather - Mother Nature never fails. We had freezing rain that turned the streets into an ice skating rink. We were still able to have dinner with Tiffany and Josh at Exile Brewery in downtown Des Moines where Kevin has been really wanting to go. The restaurant is really a piece of history in Des Moines and the food was great. If you are looking for a good place to dine I would check this place out! We also went for dinner on Tuesday and Kevin got a birthday surprise as well at Guadalajara's with dad and Melissa. Then tonight we also went to dinner with mom to celebrate.

Birthday!

This week was my dad's birthday. Melissa was out of town so Kevin and I took dad out to dinner to Old Chicago on Tuesday night, his pick. Then we went over to Fleet Farm and took a look around and head back to the house where I had made dad a birthday cake, German Chocolate Cake, his favorite! It was yummy!!! Of course I had to sing him happy birthday as well! We then were able to Facetime with Erin and the Puppies! Hope you had a great birthday dad!!! Love you!

Don't mind me being awkward in this photo - this is dad blowing out his candles!!!
